Candle Wax Resist Painting

Create a wax design or write a secret message using materials from around your home.

Time: 5 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy



Materials
Paper
Candle
Food colouring in water, or watercolour paint
Painting sponge



Method
Draw or write on the paper, pressing firmly with the candle




Dip the sponge in the paint, squeezing out excess. Paint over the paper in long strokes. Watch in wonder as an image appears!
