If you have kids who like instant results when cooking then a simple microwave mug cake is the ideal solution. This cake bakes in just 3 minutes and you still get all the fun of measuring out ingredients and mixing.

Time: 5 minutes prep and 3-4 minutes baking

4 tbsp self raising flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder

The cake is surprisingly moist and tasty. We used a spoon to start when eating and then decided to just pop it out and slice up.
