These colourful window cards make great Thank You or Birthday cards. As no glue is needed for sticking on the sequins, it's a very fun but easy activity for younger children. Only a little help is needed from an adult to cut the window and assemble the card.
Time: 15 minutes
Age: Any Age
Construction paper or thin card
Sticky back plastic
Sequins, glitter, feathers or other decoration items

Method First we will make the window
Cut out two squares of sticky back plastic, one slightly large than the other. The smallest one should be just slightly larger than the size of window you want to have in your card.
Sticky back squares to make the window
Peel the paper backing off the smaller square of sticky back plastic and lay on the table, sticky side up
Now arrange the sequins, glitter or other decoration items onto the sticky surface
No glue here means that it's very fun and easy for young children
Peel the backing off the larger square and lay this on to the decorated square, sticky side to stick side.
Now it's time to make the card
Fold your construction paper or light card into 3 sections and open up
Fold the top section onto the middle section then draw the shape of your window
Cut out the window shape. You can cut both layers together in the same cut.
window hold cut through the top two layers
Stick the decorated window over the cut out hole. There should be a little sticky border to hold it down
Now glue the two cut out sections of the card together
You could try a tree or star shape window for Christmas or a heart shape window for Valentines Day or Mother's Day.
