We had a lot of fun making this Easter Chicken Handbag. Not only is it colorful and cute, it is remarkably practical and just begging to be filled with eggs or something similar. Choose some crazy colored paper for the wings to make everyone smile when they see your creation.

2 x "googlie eyes"
1 x orange triangle "beak"
Colored wrapping paper
Trace hand shapes onto the wrapping paper
Take two paper plates and turn them over.
Paint the back of the paper plates with yellow paint.
When the yellow paint is completely dry, glue your "googlie eyes" onto the center of the paper plate.
Painted plate ready to staple
Cut out an orange triangle shape and glue this onto the paper plate to make your chicken's "beak".
Trace around both of your hands onto the colored paper and cut these out - these will form the chicken's "wings".
Staple the two chicken "wings" onto the sides of the paper plate.
Staple the wings on
Trim along the top edge of the paper plate and place your ribbon onto the left hand side, ready to staple into position.
Staple along the outer edge of the paper plate, around the the top right edge, leaving an opening for the top.
Staple the other side of the ribbon into position.
Now you have a fantastic Easter Chicken Handbag, ready to be filled with delicious hand made goodies.
Hang your creation on your door knob or give it to a friend or relative as a fun and colorful Easter gift.
