Fairy Door

Here's how to make your own easy fairy door. Prop it against a tree trunk in your garden or indoors against a bedroom wall and keep a look out for fairies moving in!

Our enchanted tree


Time: 20 minutes
Age: Any age
Level: Easy

Materials
Rectangular piece of wood (we used an old wood flooring sample)
Jumbo popsicle sticks
Strong glue
Paint suitable for outdoors (if going outdoors)
Chunky bead

Method
Glue the jumbo popsicle sticks onto the wood backing, making vertical slats for the door and a rectangular shaped door surround.

Paint the fairy door, choosing one colour for the door and another for the door surround. Use outdoor paint if you're planning to keep your fairy door in the garden.

Door painted and bead stuck on to make a handle


Stick on a chunky bead with strong glue to make a door handle.

Your fairy door is now ready - prop it against a tree or bedroom wall to make your own enchanted world.
