Holiday Craft Fun for Kids

by manns (follow)
With the summer holidays approaching, you know you will have to keep your tiny tots busy and entertained. Here are two easy-to-do paint and craft activities that will keep your kid occupied and you relieved.

Paper Plate Fish

Time: 10-15 minutes

Paper Plate
Tissue Paper
Tube Paints
Wiggle Eyes

Take paper plates in different colors and sizes.
Now cut a triangle out of your plate. Cut the first one and ask your child to follow.

Paste the cut triangle as the tail of the fish.
Now let your kid paint the fish in whatever colors they want.
Once the paint dries up, apply glue all over the fish on the painted side. The paint must dry up properly first.
Now cut the different colored tissue paper into roughly square pieces. Start sticking them on the fish like they are the fish’s scales.
Children love sticking things. So let them stick while you cut.
When all the tissue paper is cut and stuck, take out the wiggle eyes. You can also substitute wiggle eyes with buttons.
Stick them as the eye of the fish and your paper plate fish is ready!

Cupcakes and cookies will taste even more delicious on these paper plates.

Bag Painting

This is the perfect craft activity for all those mothers who are worried about kids making a big mess. This is mess free and extremely easy. Here is how you do bag painting.

Time: 10-15 minutes

Ziploc Freezer Bags
Finger Paints
Packing Tape

Take two plastic ziploc freezer bags.
Take the paints and squirt one, two or more colors into the ziploc bag.
Put a white paper under them.
Tape the whole thing down using a masking tape on a table.
Now let the kids make designs and drawings with the paints on the ziploc bag using their, palm, finger or toys.

Make sure they do not use any sharp or pointed objects on the bag though.

This is a favorite activity with kids the multiple designs and colors that come out of this activity keeps them fascinated and engaged for hours together without creating a mess.

Just what you need!
