Turn common beach rocks into friendly aliens visiting your garden from outer space. All you need is paint and a wild imagination and a whole family will soon appear from planet Xyxon in no time. Small children will really enjoy being allowed to turn their rock into anything at all.

Add spots or stripes

Wait for the paint to dry, then add spots or stripes and stick on plenty of crazy "googlie eyes" using craft glue. You can buy these in any discount variety store.

Now you have your alien family and they can sit around the house and garden keeping watch over the behaviour of the miniature resident earthlings. Have fun.
