Draw a car, bus, truck etc in the middle of a piece of cardboard. My daughter drew a car and we also made a van together.

Draw a roughly rectangular strip at the bonnet end of the car. This will help stabilise the finished vehicle.

Fold over the cardboard at the top of the vehicle.
Cut around the vehicle through both pieces of the folded card. Cut through the top of the fold of the vehicle but not the extra rectangular strip.

Open out to get two cars and a linking bonnet (the rectangular strip)

Draw and cut out two pieces (roughly rectangular) to join the cars. This should be slightly wider than the bonnet strip.

Cut two slits in each linking piece, the same distance apart as the length of the linking bonnet strip. Cut two matching at both ends of each car.
Slide a joining piece between each car at each end, linking up the slits.
