Here's how to make an interesting bronze-effect sculpture using ModRoc plaster bandages
. It's a great hands on messy project perfect for older kids - or to make as a joint project with a younger child.
Our inspiration were these mini bronze figures at the Hogskulebygget building in Sogndal, Norway. We created our figure using pipe cleaners and aluminium foil, then moulded the plaster bandages on top. We painted the finished figure with metallic enamel paint to give a bronze effect.
: 1 hour minutes plus drying time
: Over 10s
You could try making other bronze-effect sculptures e.g. animals.
