Create your own 3D paper ocean. You can fill it with little swimming fish, an octopus or anything else you might find under the sea.

Time: 20 minutes
Age: 5-10's
Level: Medium

Materials
A4 blue paper
Scraps of different coloured paper
Green tissue paper
Glue
String
Hole punch

Method
Fold an A4 piece of blue paper in half.

Cut wavy lines towards the folded edge but stop about 3cm from the edge. If you want your 3D ocean to stand rather than hang then you might want to leave 4-5cm.

Unfold the paper and push each wavy section out, alternating the direction back and forward.

Cut underwater creatures from scraps of different coloured paper. We chose little red fish, a yellow octopus and a mini starfish.

Stick on your creatures.

Cut thin strips of green tissue paper and glue these on to make seaweed.
Punch a hold in each top corner of the ocean.
Thread a piece of string (about 60cm long) through each hole and tie.
You can now hang up your 3D ocean.
