Little fingers can find it rather difficult to tie shoelaces at first, and this shoe lace practice board is a simple, budget friendly way to teach children how to tie their shoelaces well. Let the children help to make this giant shoe and they will be confident tying their shoelaces in no time.

Shoe outline


Draw a large outline of a shoe on some recycled cardboard with a pencil.

Cut out the outline of your shoe with some scissors.

Paint the outline

Paint (or color in) the outline of your shoe in bright, fun colors, then allow the paint to dry.

Using a knife, punch through the cardboard into your shoe lace "holes".

Thread a shoelace (or ribbon) through the holes of your "new" shoe and begin practicing step by step how to tie shoelaces. Good luck - and remember practice makes perfect.
