These bath fizzers are so easy to make that your kids can be involved from start to finish and get all the satisfaction of giving their friends a gift that they've made themselves.

Time: 20 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy

Materials
75g Citric Acid
150g Bicarbonate Soda
Food colour
Christmas Chocolate Moulds
Paper Towel

Method
Mix the citric acid and bicarb soda together well. The ratio of bicarb to acid is 2 to 1, if you want to make more or fewer bath fizzers just stick to this ratio.

Add 5 or 6 drops of food colouring to the powder and mix in quickly as it will begin the reaction between the powders.

When the fizzing has stopped, use your finger tips to rub the colour through the rest of the powder.

When you've achieved the colour you want, press the mixture into the moulds, firmly packing them to the top. Turn the moulds over onto a sheet of paper towel and tap the back of the mould to release the bath fizzer. You may need to use the back of a teaspoon.

Allow the fizzers to dry fully and store away from moisture until you're ready to give as gifts.
