My 2.5 year old son loves to play make believe games. One of his favourites is to be a knight on his horse or a Viking chasing dragons. I'm not sure Vikings really chased dragons but he has a great time pretending anyway.
Today he asked me for a shield which could be used if he was a Viking or a knight in shining armour. Instead of buying another piece of plastic, I decided we would make one together. Armed with what we could find in the house, this is what we created.
Low cost items you can find in the house

: Any Age
Attach your egg box pieces
Wrap the foil over and push around the egg cup pieces
Simple handle for the shield
Your shield is now ready for action. My son told me that he was going to use it to protect his baby brother from the dragons. I have a feeling I'm now going to be challenged with creating a helmet and full outfit but hopefully this will keep him occupied for now.
