A low cost re-purposed craft activity for Christmas that the kids will enjoy. Finished trees can be used as greeting cards, and/or tree decorations.

Time:15 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy

Materials
Green paint sample cards from hardware store
Plain white paper

Newspaper or unwanted magazine so you don't get glue on the table!
Scissors
PVA glue and glue stick
Sequins and / or glitter
Clear sticky tape
Ribbon
Buttons

Method
Cut a simple tree shape out of one paint sample card. A parent would have to do this for younger children.

Use the first tree as a template to cut more trees
Glue (with glue stick) the back of the trees onto plain white paper (this is to cover paint details on the back of the card)
Cut the trees out from the plain white paper.
Decorate with sequins and glitter using PVA glue, and button for the top of the tree.

Decorating trees, the fun part!

Make a loop out of the ribbon you have, and sticky tape onto the back of your card at the top.
You are done! Hang on your Christmas tree, or write a message on the back and give to a friend.
