Once dried, these orange slices make a lovely decoration for Christmas.
: 5 minutes and a few hours in the oven

Wire oven wrack
Preheat the oven to 90 degrees C.
Cut the orange into 1cm thick slices.
Make sure you slice across the orange so that you will see the segments.
Place the slices on a wire wrack and then into your oven.
Bake in the oven for between 1.5 and 2 hours, turning once or twice part way through.
Once baked, take them out of the oven and leave to cool overnight. This will allow a little more gentle air drying time so that they fully harden up.
Poke a little hole in the orange flesh, close to the skin.
Thread a ribbon through and tie the ends together.
Hang on your Christmas tree.
