Chain of Hearts

The technique used to create these hearts is easier than you would expect and it doesn't take long to create a long chain. Once you've done enough, you can use this chain to wrap around your Christmas tree instead of tinsel, string up on birthdays instead of streamers, or just hang them up on your child's wall like artwork. Time: 15 minutes, but it does depend on how long you want your chain to be.

Cut your paper into thin strips. It doesn't really matter what size they are, but they should all be the same length. You should make them wide enough that the staples won't hang over the edges though.

Staple two pieces together ear one end, with the coloured sides facing inwards.

Curl the loose ends back, past the stapled section. Place new pieces of paper on either side, coloured side facing inwards, and staple them together as shown in the image below.

Repeat the process until you've made a whole chain of hearts.
