Have fun on a sunny day on the beach exploring shadows and angles with these shadow faces.

Time: 10 minutes
Age: Under 5's, 5-10's
Level: Easy

Materials
Beach treasures (shells, seaweed, pebbles, seeds etc)

Method
This activity needs to be done on a sunny day when strong shadows are cast.
Build a collection of beach debris e.g. shells, seaweed, seeds, pebbles etc.

Make funny faces out of the beach debris.

Creating faces with shells and leaves


Explore how shadows are cast and position your body so that the face picture lines up with your shadow head.

Have fun striking different poses.
