Happy, googly eye thumbprint faces decorate this colourful and fun birthday card! An easy craft for preschoolers, toodlers will also have a lot of fun putting their mark on these googly cards!

Happy Face

Time: 10 minutes (plus drying time for paint and glue)
Age: Under 5's, 5-10's
Level: Easy

Materials
Paper (plain paper and card making paper)
Paint
Small googly eyes
Felt pen
White glue
Wet rag

Method
Pick out the colours that will be used to make the thumbprint heads on the page.
Get busy thumbprinting! Dip thumbs in paint (we used just the paint caps) and thumbprint the paper. Use all one colour or try a variety of colours!

Happy Face
Little hands have little fingers. The thumbprint is a bit bigger and easier to find googly eyes to fit!

Let the paint dry.
Draw a mouth and hats on the thumbprint heads. Have fun with different patterns and even shapes of hats!

Happy Face

Glue on googly eyes to your thumbprint heads.

Happy Face

Trim the thumbprint art and adhere to a piece of heavy paper to make a card.
Personalize with your happy birthday message.
