Puffy paint, microwave, art, preschool

Make your own puffy paint with just three store room basics.

Time: 15 minutes
Age: Under 5s, 5-10's
Level: Easy

Materials
Self raising flour
Salt
Water
Food colouring

Method
Use equal parts of flour and salt. I did a tablespoon if each for each for the four pots of colours we made up.
Add enough water to create a thin paste.
Add food colouring and mix. Add a little more if the colour is not deep enough.

To use the puffy paint, simply paint onto thin card (a cotton bud tip is good for this) and then microwave for 15 seconds. It looks great all puffed up.
