3D Christmas Card

3D Christmas Card

Posted 2013-12-07 by Sarah Bfollow
This is a lovely card that kids can create to share with friends and family for the festive season. It adds a lovely personal touch and is a great way to teach kids about the joy of giving and how lovely it is to create something which looks great.

Materials
  • Pre-made Christmas tree or pre-made candy cane or coloured paper and cardboard.
  • 1 sheet of coloured card - red or green are nice for Christmas, but you can splash out and choose another colour if you like it better!
  • Craft glue

    Method
  • Take your coloured card and fold it in half.
  • To create a 3D image for your card (as in the starburst picture above), draw a picture onto paper, then cut out the shape you want to use.

Then glue a piece of cardboard to the back of your shape..

  • Next glue either your pre-created 3D object, or newly created one, to the front of your card. These look nice on their own as a simple card, or you can then add further embellishments by drawing or writing on the front.

  • Now the card is ready for you to write your message inside and give to a friend!
