Al Foil River
Create a river in your own yard!

Materials
Al Foil
A shallow box
Sand
Water
Method
Choose a spot in the yard that has a good slope for creating a flowing river. Place the shallow box at the base of this slope, and cover it with Al Foil.
Pull a long strip of Al Foil out, this will become your river.
Tuck the end of the strip into the shallow box, and curl the sides of the strip all the way to the top. If needed, add supports underneath.
Cover the base of the shallow box with sand to secure the Al Foil and help it remain water tight.
Pour water from the top of the river and watch it go! Extend the play by making several rivers, with or without the boxes at the end of them.
