Boo Halloween Wreath
Use easy tissue ghosts to create a great Halloween wreath for the front door or hall. A super easy craft to involve all the family in Halloween decorating!
Time: 25 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy
Materials
Box of tissues
Black felt marker
Thread, yarn or small ribbon
Wreath base
Black paint (optional)
Craft glue
Halloween ribbon and embellishments
Method
Creating the ghosts
Crumple a tissue and cover the ball with another tissue to create the ghost shape. Secure with thread or yarn or make it fancy and use some ribbon. You will need about 50-60 ghosts for a wreath.
We had a bit of an assembly line for this. Two year old crumpled tissue, 4 year old covered and mom tied them off.
Add a ghostly face with black marker.
Creating the Wreath
Cut a wreath frame out of cardboard or use a vine or styrofoam wreath from a craft store.
Paint black if you wish.
Cover the wreath frame with glue and start sticking on the ghosts.
I tried to encourage an upright position and started by spacing them out, then we filled in between.
Add Halloween ribbon for hanging and any other scary embellishments you wish!
A great option if you are going to be out Halloween night is to lollipops to create the ghosts and stick into a vine wreath. Trick or treaters can help themselves!
