Canada Flag Handprint Card
Celebrate Canada and create a fun and easy handprint Canadian flag. This is a great activity to do for Canada Day (July 1st) or use it as a jumping off point for learning about and creating flags from other countries.
Time: 15 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy
Materials
White cardstock
Plate or flat container to spread paint
Paint brush
Red paint
Painter's tape (or any low tack tape)
Method
Fold the white cardstock in half and tape to a table or flat work surface at 3 equal intervals using the painter's tape.
Mark the sections to be painted red and let the painting begin!
Allow the paint a bit of time to dry and remove the painter's tape. The tape will leave crisp lines and will not tear the paper.
Now the messy, fun part can start. Paint a hand red or squish it around on the plate of paint. Ensure there is good coverage.
Stamp the hand onto the middle of the card, between the two red rectangles.
Let dry and write a message in your personalized Canada flag card.
You could also create one-of-a-kind Canada shirts with this method using red fabric paint and a white tshirt.
