This is a fun messy craft activity for kids: make your own garden caterpillar. You can make them for a hungry caterpillar/ animal party too.

Time: 1 hour
Age: Over 10's
Level: Medium

Materials
Cardboard
Watercolour paints
Plastic spray bottle
Paddlepops
Sticky tape

Method
With lead pencil draw out your caterpillars.

Paint the outline of the caterpillar in a dark colour like dark green or purple.

Once the outline is dry, choose two lighter coloured water colour paints and paint across the caterpillar.

In a plastic watering spray bottle mix water with a bright coloured paint like pink or fluoro green and spray over your caterpillar.

Cut out and stick paddle pops to back.

Pop into the garden.
