Making lanterns for Chinese New Year is fun but often a bit tricky for really little ones. These flat lanterns create a great display and even tiny tots can get finger painting with a little help from a grownup.
Time: 20 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy
Materials
Red and gold glitter glue
Method
With the A4 card landscape, cut the sides to create a curve.
Fold the card horizontally and then cut a few slit, then open back up.
Now it's time to decorate.
Thread beads through a pipe cleaner and then fix to the top to create the handle.
Finger or brush over red paint.
Give a little dazzle with glitter glue.
Curl some thin strips of thin paper and then fix to the bottom of the lantern.
