Chocolate Microwave Mug Cake

If you have kids who like instant results when cooking then a simple microwave mug cake is the ideal solution. This cake bakes in just 3 minutes and you still get all the fun of measuring out ingredients and mixing.

Time: 5 minutes prep and 3-4 minutes baking
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy

Materials
4 tbsp caster sugar
4 tbsp self raising flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 egg
3 tbsp milk

Method
Put all the ingredients except from the milk in a bowl.
Give it a good mix and then add the milk.
Mix until smooth.

Pour into a large mug.

Place in the very centre of the microwave and cook on high for 3-4 minutes depending on how powerful it is.

The cake is surprisingly moist and tasty. We used a spoon to start when eating and then decided to just pop it out and slice up.
