Here's a cheap and easy Christmas decoration to brighten up any window. It looks great from inside or outside the house and is ideal if you don't want to affix decorations to a wall.
Time: 15 minutes
Age: 5-10's, Over 10's
Level: Easy
Materials
Sticky back book covering plastic
Flat decoration items (e.g. shiny sequins, colourful dots, gold star etc)
Method
Cut out a rectangle of sticky back plastic and draw a Christmas tree shape on the paper side.
Cut out the Christmas tree shape.
Peel off the paper backing and set the Christmas tree shape on the table sticky side up.
Place some decoration items onto the sticky plastic. We used flat shiny sequins to look like Christmas baubles.
Stick scraps of green tissue paper over the tree area. It doesn't matter if you go over the edges as you will trim afterwards.
Stick on some brown paper for the trunk and red paper for a pot.
Turn over and trim around the outside.
Turn back over and add some more decoration items on top of the green layer (the side without sticky plastic) and add a gold star at the top.
Now place a rectangle of sticky plastic on top, sticky side inwards, sandwiching the tree in the middle.
Trim around the edges leaving a sticky border of about 0.5 cm.
You can now stick the Christmas tree decoration to the window by pressing the sticky border on to the window.
