Clothes Peg Snowman
This cute and fun Christmas card can be made by little ones with the help of an adult. Older children can make it all by themselves.

Materials
White cardboard for the card
(optional) envelope
(optional) Christmas tree shaped cookie cutter
Pencil for tracing
Scissors
Black marker
Green and gold pens
Clear packing tape (or clear adhesive book covering)
Red paper (we recycled a red Christmas envelope)
Hole-punch
Green cellophane
Method
Make a card using the white cardboard. Make sure it fits the envelope if using one.
Place the Christmas tree cookie cutter on the card and trace around the shape using a pencil. Alternatively, draw your own Christmas tree freehand. Allow enough room at the top of the card for your Christmas greeting.
Cut out the centre of the Christmas tree.
Using a green pen, write "Merry Christmas" at the top of the card.
Using a gold pen, draw a star at the top of the Christmas tree.
Place some scrap cardboard behind the Christmas tree cutout and draw around the edges of the cutout to make the tree stand out.
From the inside of the card, cover the cutout with clear packing tape (or clear adhesive book covering).
Using the hole punch, make baubles for the tree with the red paper.
Cut out small green cellophane triangles with the scissors.
Place the red baubles on the sticky side of the tape.
Scatter the green cellophane triangles over the sticky side of the tape (just like glitter) until all the sticky spots have been covered.
Tap the card and gently wipe over the tree with your fingers to remove any loose cellophane.
