Colourful Buttons Collage

Buttons are wonderful craft materials. Look out for big bags of mixed buttons at discount craft shops or second hand markets.

Have fun creating a colourful button collage using a magazine picture as a base. We started with a page from an old Maisy sticker book which had simple shapes and bright primary colours.

Time: 15 minutes
Age: Under 5's, 5-10's
Level: Easy

Materials
Colourful page from a magazine or old book with simple colourful shapes or outlines.
Selection of mixed buttons.
PVA white glue

Method
Sort the buttons into different colours or sizes.

Apply white PVA glue over the page where you want to stick the buttons.

Cover the image with buttons, matching colours and fitting in the right sizes of button to fit the image.

Once dry your picture is now ready to display and admire!
