Jar
Paint brush
Cornflour
Food colouring
Water
Method
Sprinkle some cornflour into the jar - any amount is fine.
Add some food colouring.
Pour in a little water and mix with the paint brush to make a watery consistency.
Paint a stroke of liquid chalk paint onto a surface and watch as it dries before your eyes into coloured chalk.
Let your imagination go wild. Use different colours, brushes, amounts of cornflour, amounts of water. The possibilities are endless.
After this activity, leave the paint jars to dry instead of cleaning them. Once dry, all you need to do is add a little water to bring them back to life for more painting pleasure.
Once it's time to clean up the artwork, hose off the cornflour liquid chalk paint with water. It cleans off very easily.
