Method
Cut a cupcake liner into quarters, each quarter can be used on a separate card.
Prepare the card stock - we used note size cards (half a sheet of paper).
Glue the bottom of a cupcake liner to the card. We found it was easier to glue the sides after attaching the "icing".
Cut a strip of tissue paper about 3 cm (1 inch) wide and 12-15 cm (6 inches) long. Glue the tissue paper strip above the liner to resemble icing.
Experiment with different colours and shapes of tissue paper. Brown tissue looks like chocolate icing or cut a square and crumple for a different icing texture.
Glue the sides of the cupcake liner down.
Add glitter, beads, pom poms or whatever you would like to decorate your cupcake.
Complete with a birthday message and you have yourself a wonderful homemade birthday card!
