Using natural materials from your backyard is a great way to get kids connected with nature and create an art piece out of what ever they find on their little leaf treasure hunt.

Time: 30 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy

Materials
  • Some colourful leaves and an eucalyptus branch from nature.
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Plain white paper
  • Empty frame
  • Black permanent marker
  • Pencil



  • Method
  • Draw out a rough sketch of a koala on the paper you will be using.



  • Cut out the leaves adjusting to the size and shape of the koala.
  • Start by sticking the branch on first.



  • Stick the leaves on one by one.


  • Lastly stick the ears and head of the koala.


  • Once dry draw eyes and nose on the face with the marker.


  • Put it in a photo frame and hang as wall decoration.
