If your child likes making outfits and dressing up dolls, this doll's Halloween witch costume will be a hit. Most of the steps are too complex for younger children. However it's quick to make so it can be constructed with a child helping - my daughter enjoyed giving 'creative direction' as well as sticking on the stars.
Time: 20 mins
Age: Any age
Level: Medium
Materials
One thin stick and some fine twigs
Method
To make the broom:
Gather a thin stick and some fine twigs.

Jacaranda twigs
Trim the twigs to the same length (approx 2 inches long) with scissors.
Arrange the twigs around the bottom of the thin stick and fix with an elastic band.
To make the witch hat:
Cut a circle with a smaller circle cut out in the middle to make the hat brim. The inner circle should just fit onto the doll's head.
Cut a large circle with a radius a centimetre or two bigger than you want the height of the finished hat to be.
Cut a wedge out of the circle.
Curl the remainder of the circle into a cone shape and fix with sticky tape.
Push the cone into the hat brim disc.
Cut the part of the cone underneath the brim into fringed segments and stick these up to the underside of the brim.

Ready to fix with some sticky tape
Decorate the hat with sticky stars.
To make the witch cape:
Cut a cape shape with long ties out of the black rubbish bag (see photo).
Strengthen the area where the ties meet the main cape with a little sticky tape if required.
Decorate front and back of the cape with sticky stars.
Your doll is now ready to dress up. Happy Halloween!
