Who can resist mini eggs? What could make them better? Of course a cute Easter chick!!

Time: 20-30 minutes
Age: Any Age (that like mini eggs!!)
Level: Easy

Materials
  • Toilet roll
  • Yellow paper
  • Orange card
  • Googly eyes
  • Decortive buttons
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Mini eggs

  • Method
  • Place a toilet roll on a piece of yellow paper

  • Roll paper around toilet roll and cut to size

  • Glue paper to toilet roll

  • To make the beak, cut a square out of orange card

  • Cut in half, in to two triangles

  • Fold the triangles in half

  • With the fold on the top left, fold the right side down (see picture) and match it on the other side

  • Put glue on the flaps and stick to the toilet roll a third down

  • Apply googly eyes (my toddler insisted on eyes of different sizes but please feel free to use matching eyes!) and other decorations (I used buttons)

  • Place Easter chick on a piece of orange card and draw around base and add webbed feet

  • Cut feet out and stick to toilet roll

  • Extra optional step (that my toddler loved). Before sticking the Easter chick to its feet, cut two slits on the back of the chick just wider and higher than a mini egg. Fold up to form a mini egg dispenser
