Easter Egg Chick
Make your chicks hatch out of an Easter egg with this easy paper craft activity. Adults should do the cutting if it is for young children, otherwise it is fun for all ages.
Time: 40 minutes
Age: Any Age
Level: Easy
Materials
A4 card
A4 paper
Scissor
Coloured pencils/pens/crayons
Stamps/stickers (optional)
2 self adhesive dots
Paper fastners
Glue
Method
Draw a basic chick shape on a piece of paper and colour it in yellow on both sides.
Use the adhesive dots to stick the eyes on either side.
Draw an egg shape on a piece of card, and cut it out.
Colour and decorate it on both sides in any way you want, with pencils, stamps, stickers, etc.
Cut the egg in half in a zig-zag shape to make it look like the egg has cracked open.
In the corner poke a hole through both egg halves, and push through a paper fastener. This should allow the egg to open and close.
Glue the body of the chick to the back of the egg so that its head pokes over the top.
Open and close the egg to make it look like it is popping in and out of its shell.
Display proudly.
