This craft produces a cute and useful item that will help your kids keep their pencils organised. An elephant isn't the only animal you can try either.
Time: 40 minutes
Age: Under 5's, 5-10's
Level: Easy
Materials
Cardboard (I had pieces of two different thicknesses)
Method
Draw an elephant ear on a piece of cardboard.
Cut out the ear, as well as a long strip for a trunk.
Trace around the first ear and then cut it out to create another one.
Cut out a circle the same size as the toilet paper roll base.

I traced around the base of the toilet paper roll but this circle ends up a little big so you'll have to trim it
Paint the two ears, the trunk and the toilet paper roll grey.
When all the paint is dry, attach the ears as seen below.

I bent a section so I had something to glue
Tape the circle of cardboard to the base of the elephant.
