Fun Feather Boa Halloween Wreath
A fun and easy project to dress up your door this Halloween! Use boas you have on hand or purchase inexpensive boas from the dollar store to create this dramatic wreath!
Time: 20 minutes
Age: Over 10's
Level: Easy
Materials
Pool noodle
wood dowel or other hard piece
3-4 feather boas
electrical tape or black duct tape
black spray paint (if desired)
Straight pins
Fishing line
Wreath embellishments (battery operated lights, ribbon)
Method
Use a pool noodle to create a large, inexpensive wreath form. Fold the noodle around, insert a piece of dowel or stiff cardboard and tape the ends together with black electrical or duct tape. This wreath form could be used for any wreath!
I choose to spray paint my wreath as I had some black paint left. It will help in "hiding" the pool noodle colour. Or you can simply ad another boa.
Let the spray paint dry.
Begin wrapping your boas around the wreath form. Use straight pins to secure your boa to the wreath form.
When you feather boas are in place, ad lights or other decorations as you see fit. I used fishing line to secure my decorations to my wreath as I will likely re-use my boas. If you would like a more permanent piece, use glue!
I taped fishing line to the battery pack for my spider lights and tied the battery pack around the wreath. The feathers hide the pack.
Ad a ribbon for hanging and display on your front door!
