This is a fun Christmas craft to do with a group of children. Create giant Santa outlines by drawing round the children on long rolls of paper - they can then decorate their Santa in any style they choose! Try hanging the Santa collage on a door to make a bright Christmas decoration.

Time: 40 minutes
Age: Under 5s, 5 to 10s
Level: Easy

Materials
Long roll of paper (we used a roll of craft paper from IKEA)
Masking tape
Sharpie pen
Glue
Red paint, pen or crayons
Various red collage materials - try scraps of paper, feathers, recycled packaging, pieces of Christmas wrapping paper etc.
Black paper for boots and belt
Cotton wool pads or balls for Santa's hair and beard

Method
Cut long pieces of paper from the roll. Use masking tape to secure the long pieces of paper to the floor.
Get a child to lie down on a piece of paper and draw round with a thick pen. Stand up to reveal the Santa outline.
Have fun decorating the Santa outline with paint, pens, collage items etc.

Stick on boots and a belt cut out from black paper (or you could collage these items too)
Stick on a red hat cut out from red paper.
Try adding cotton wool pads or balls to make a furry rim on the hat and a fluffy beard.
