When I first tried this I was skeptical, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hardest bit is waiting patiently for it to dry!

These are great fun for a girl's birthday party, and the guests can take their creations home to dry.

Time: 30 minutes plus drying time
Age: 5-10's, Over 10's
Level: Medium

Materials
Template (see below) or marker
Baking paper
Sticky tape
Glitter Glue Pens

Method
Print out the template, or make your own. You need to measure around your child's wrist to get the correct bracelet length (use a piece of string to measure). Older children love to create their own designs, just make sure all the lines join up. With practice they will get an idea of which designs work better than others.

Use sticky tape to secure the template to the back of the baking paper, face up so that the lines show through.

Trace the template with glitter glue, making sure that the lines join up well. Store the pens tip-down for better flow.

Leave the bracelets overnight to dry. Some areas might need more time if the glue was applied thickly.

Carefully peel the bracelets from the baking paper. If you have trouble, keep the bracelet flat and peel the baking paper away.

Tape the ends of the bracelet around your child's wrist.

Admire!

You can also make rings, watches or pendants. Have a go at making a keyring or bag tag by adding a loop to the top, then carefully putting on a split ring.

I once made spy watches for my boys, they didn't seem to mind that they were glittery!
