This hedgehog felt tip pen holder is fun and easy to make. It's perfect for kids who often forget to put the tops back onto pens.

Time: 20 minutes plus drying time
Age: Any age
Level: Easy

Materials
Air drying clay (we used grey clay although brown clay would look even better)
Pack of felt tip pens
Two beads

Method
Roll a lump of air drying clay into a ball.

Clay

Push two beads into the clay to make the hedgehog's eyes.

Clay

Push the cap end of the felt tip pens into the body of the hedgehog at angles so that the pens are fanned out. Push the felt tip pen caps down as far as they will go into the clay.

Clay

Add any other decoration - e.g. my daughter made a smile and some extra marks in the clay using a popsicle stick.

Allow to dry for at least 24 hours.

Your felt tip pens are now ready to use. The cap stays stuck in the clay and the pen is returned to the cap after use.
