Hungry Paper Plate Fish

Paper plates are cheap, versatile and great to make into lots of crafts. This hungry fish is a very simple but impactful craft for pre school children.

Time: 15 minutes
Age: Under 5's
Level: Easy

Materials
  • Paper plate
  • Scissors
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush (or fingers)
  • Glue
  • Scrap paper

  • Method
  • Cut a segment from the paper plate.

  • Paint the fish any way you want. My toddler started with a paintbrush but soon decided that it would be more fun to use his hands and fingers.

  • Once the paint is dry, glue the cut out segment onto the paper plate as a tail.

  • Cut a circle of white paper and draw a black dot to make an eye and then stick it on the fish.
  • Glue scraps of paper onto the fish to give it extra decoration.
