This cat silhouette greeting card uses joss paper as a background. Joss paper or "ghost money" can be bought very cheaply in big packs from Chinese supermarkets. It is traditionally burned as part of a Chinese ceremony. However the rich colors and textures of the papers also make an interesting art material. The papers often have squares of gold or silver leaf on a background of white, orange or red.
