Air drying clay is soft and easy to use and perfect for taking on the imprint of interesting items. Why not try creating a coaster with the print of leaves.

Time: 10 minutes
Age: 5-10's
Level: Easy

Materials
Air drying clay
Circular cutter or small glass
Small leaves (we used basil leaves)
Varnish or glue

Method
Roll out the air drying clay.

Cut out a circle the size you want your coaster.
Lay on the leaves you want to use to make a print.



Coaster, air dry clay


Push down firmly, running your finger along the stalks and veins.
Lift the leaves off to see the imprint.



Coaster, air dry clay


Leave to dry.
Paint if you like.
Varnish or brush over glue and leave to dry.
