Here's how to make an easy loom bracelet for beginners. I bought a cheap kit with a loom and elastic bands, but the instructions were very hard to follow. I hope you find these clearer.

Method
Position the loom in front of you with the plastic pegs making 'u' shapes.
Place an elastic loom band over two pegs to make a diagonal.
Make a diagonal on the 'u' shaped pegs
Overlap a loom band on the second peg and place onto a third peg to make a diagonal zig zag.
Make a zig zag
Keep going placing the loom bands in a zig zag shape up the loom. I stopped slightly short of the end.
At the end, turn the loom round 180 degrees so that the plastic pegs now make 'n' shapes in front of you.
Turn the board around until the pegs make 'n' shapes
It's now time to 'weave' the elastic together.
With the hook, pick up second elastic from the second peg and lift it out over the second peg, placing it forward onto the third peg.

With the hook, pick up the third elastic from the third peg and lift it out over the third peg, placing it forward onto the fourth peg.

With the hook, pick up the fourth elastic from the fourth peg and lift it out over the fourth peg, placing it forward onto the fifth peg.
Keep going until you have hooked forward all of the elastics.

Hold on to one end and lift the bracelet carefully from the loom.
Thread the single band at one end through the double band at the other end and fasten the single band onto the plastic 's' fastener in your loom kit.
Attach the other end of the 's' fastener to the bracelet to complete it.
