Making collages from magazines can be simplified for pre schoolers. They love glue and sticking so this activity is a winner.

Time: 15 minutes
Age: Under 5's
Level: Easy

Materials
Cardboard
Magazine
Glue
Paintbrush
Marker pen
Scissors

Method
Cut a magazine into different sized strips or let your child rip up pieces. My son isn't quite 3 yet so while the ripping was fun the pieces were a bit too scrunched to use.

Cut strips of magazine for younger kids and let slightly older children rip their own into different sized pieces. You could also use coloured paper

Use a piece of cardboard for the base ( we used a piece of a cereal box).
Let your toddler spread glue all over the cardboard.

More glue please

Have fun sticking on strips of magazine and apply some extra glue over the top to make sure it's all stuck down.

Leave to dry.
The magazine collage makes an interesting piece of art on it's own but you could go one step further.

Draw an outline of anything from a simple circle to an elephant and cut it out.
