Make Your Own Chalk Paint

Keep those ever important fridge papers from flying away with these easy airplane magnets! Make a fleet for home or give them away as teacher or grandparent gifts.

Time: 15 minutes
Age: Under 5's, 5-10's
Level: Easy

Materials

Clothes peg (clothes pin) - one for each plane

Regular size popsicle stick - 3 for each plane

Paint and small brushes

Craft glue suitable for wood

Small magnets or magnetic tape

Method

Cut one popsicle stick shorter for the tail of the plane. I cut a bit off each end so that both ends were squared.

Disassemble the peg.

Paint both parts of the peg and all the popsicle sticks.

Painting the disassembled peg.

Once the paint is completely dry, reassemble the peg.

Glue on the airplane wings, a popsicle stick on top and bottom of the peg. Glue on the tail piece.

Glue the magnets on the underside.

When the glue is dry, your planes are ready to take flight to the nearest fridge!
