Marble Rolling Messy Play

This is a fun activity that can get a little messy. It's great for exploring colour mixing and a different way to create an unusual painting.

Marbles are a choking hazard so please supervise young children closely

Materials

Box lid or tray

Paper

Paint

Marbles

Method

Place a piece of paper in your tray or box lid. Having the raised edges will stop the marbles flying off.

Add a few squirts of paint here and there.

Drop on a a few marbles.

Roll the marbles around slowly through the paint in different directions. See what pattern you can make and how the colours mix.
