Melted Bead Spinning Top

This is a fun and creative craft that doubles up to make your own spinning top toy. Try different colour combinations and see what happens when you give them a spin.

Time: 15 minutes
Age: 5-10's
Level: Medium

Materials
Hama or Perler beads
Circle pin board
Baking paper
Skewer

Method
Leave the centre pin empty on the pin board.
Place beads, 4 deep, creating a circle.

Place the baking or supplied paper over and then use an iron to melt the beads.
Remove from the pin board and melt on the other side.
Leave to cool hard.

Cut a skewer down in length and insert the pointed end through the central hole.
Give it a spin and watch the colours.
