Make an interesting box full of cereal, rice, grains or other store cupboard foods to drive toy trucks and diggers through. It's a fun activity for toddlers and preschoolers.

Materials
Cups of dry store cupboard items e.g. rice, pasta, grains, Cheerios, popcorn etc.
Small toy trucks, cars or diggers.
Wash the tray and toy diggers well. My kids ended up eating the cereal and popcorn so it's better to clean everything first.
Lay out a selection of the dry foods in cups next to the tray. Look for different sizes, shapes and textures.
Set out the toy trucks and diggers. Let the children explore the selections. They can pour and mix the dry foods in the tray and drive the trucks and diggers through the mix.
