Milk Bottle Elephants

Here's how to make a colourful elephant from a recycled milk bottle and tissue paper. Try making a whole family of elephants (or mammoths!) with different colours.

Time: 20 minutes drying time
Age: Under 5's, 5-10's
Level: Medium

Materials

Plastic milk bottle

Coloured tissue paper

PVA glue

Goggly eyes

Scissors

Method

Cut the top off the milk bottle by the handle. The handle will be the elephants trunk.

Cut arches to make legs.

Stick tissue paper on to the elephant with PVA glue.

After the elephant has dried stick googly eyes on.

Try making a woolly mammoth using different coloured tissue paper and stick on some tusks using card.
